You're a Bronze Medal Food Saving Champion!

YOU’RE A BRONZE MEDAL FOOD SAVING CHAMPION.
Practice makes perfect. Here’s a few tactics to help you save more food and money:
- Beware of buying specials that need to be used quickly or two-for-one deals. Make sure you can use what you buy before it goes off.
- Only bulk buy non-perishable foods.
- Follow the storage instructions on food. Does it need to go in the fridge, freezer or pantry?
- Reduce the need for storing food by shopping more frequently, or only when you want to cook.
- Your freezer is your friend. Freeze cooked veggies and pureed fruit for later use. It's amazing how many things you can freeze — even ginger, which can be grated for use when it's frozen. Milk and bread, which are two other commonly wasted food products, can also be frozen.
- Buying frozen vegetables also reduces fresh food waste.
- Saving food means saving money. Wasting food means wasting money and nobody wants to do that!
